No.
Jason, there should be…. if there isn’t. I’m really tired of these bozo’s asking stupid questions 24/7. Maybe if these same bozo’s would get off their fat @$ $ ‘s, walk to work one day, instead of sitting for hours in traffic jams, we might have enough fuel to run an entire season of F-1 AND NASCAR, not to mention all of teh other race cars on the planet that run on regular gasoline (petrol).
NO! A billion non constructive people go for joy rides everyday and drive 2 blocks to the store. They should be banned. I’m tired of this stupid question. Any person with the mentality of a worm can realize what a dumb question this is.
No– But why pick on The Sport of Racing–Think ab out how much Fuel Is used to fly a Baseball or Basketball or Hockey Team to Sites 2 to 3 times a week Plus the Limos-Taxis and Rent a Cars the Players use!!!!!!!!!
Yess…
Next ban books, so many trees are destroyed…
Then children, many become criminals…
Food, because its unevenly distributed…
Dude, I feel so brilliant, I found so many ways to save mankind. No one else would have thought of such ideas. I am a phenomenon
Yes, if they burned gas.
No. Thats a silly idea and very tedious of you to bring the egological bandwagon to our beloved motor sport.
wat on earth u on about what a silly question
3 things i need 2 say wat causes more fuel than a f1 car per race per 2weeks
1)if u add up all the american cars that drain alot of fuel as it is
example american gangster cars
2) as some1 else sold lazy ppl in different countries drive there car places that is a 5 – 10minute walk
3)Formula one is a great sport and should never be band
Edit: to English ppl that is 20 gallons which costs around £60 now adays to go around a 62miles which is not bad for a car that goes on a average of 160mph
think of the planes how much they use per flight
Do you see the traffic jams in L.A. buddy?
No because motor racing contributes an absolutely miniscule amount to global warming. F1′s about pushing boundaries, and they’re ruining it by making it “green.” ALready 5.75% of the fuel has to come form renewable sources.
Besides, its freezing in the UK, so keep those Range Rovers on the Road!
I think I speak for most F1 fans when I say GO BACK TO GREENPEACE!
Def be banned
how bout u don’t use paper at all from now
tht wud save more.
Yeah lets stop breathing too, we’ll save oxygen and reduce CO2 emissions from our lungs, our bodies will make good fertilizer for trees.
Oh dear, don’t you realise many times more petrol / gasoline is used in one year by the crowd attending major sports than by all Formula One cars with all their testing (limited to 30,000 km per year for each team).
Using your reasoning, Major League Baseball, which has an annual attendance rate of around 74 million should be banned first.
Maybe not. Racing is an amazing sport and it shouldnt be just crappy football and baseball. Get over it.
should you be deprived of oxygen to save on the world consumption of fresh air
Next question
Hell No!
Racing will eventually destroy itself, because the sport is being taken over by investors instead of real racers. It doesn’t need any help. And also, racing uses fuels with so many additives, that the emissions are very low. And F1 uses Ethanol.
No the FIA is putting money into environmental research
Fuck off you fucking hippie.
i doubt banning 22 cars that runs maybe 15-20,000 kilometers a year would save the planet
but if you want a green revolution, then introduce alternative fuels as part of racing. the technological revolution in F1 is astounding given that teams always find a way to get an advantage. if the FIA requires F1 cars to race using green fuels, it will revolutionize research for green fuels.
if you think banning racing would save the planet, then ban all pro sports. imagine all the fuels used by pro teams to travel around. then the electricity to power the arenas and the TV coverage. then all the people traveling to and from the game. plus, the athletes would be running around which causes them to get tried and breathe heavily and breathing heavily means taking in more oxygen and exhaling more carbon dioxide, which is a green house gas. therefor all strenous activities must be banned. or, all breathing should be banned because imagine the carbon dioxide 6 billion exhaling humans would introduce into the atmosphere
No.
I also doubt that racing cars consumption of fuel has an overall impact on the environment. But the people that are attending any type of event is the main cause.
But one thing that racing cars can do for the environment is implement other forms of fuel to be used. This way there use will become popular which intern would allow companies to experiment them and give consumers alternatives to fossil fuels.
The only real way to save fuel is to limit driving, start walking or biking.
why not ban trips to space!!
