Question by photog1302: Does cummins approve the use of diesel fuel additives that contain alcohol?
I am looking for documentation that states cummins does not endorse the use of diesel fuel additives containing alcohol. I have found a lot of documentation that states they do not recommend the blending of diesel fuel with gasoline, gasohol or alcohol and they recommend against the use of e-diesel or dieselhol, but nothing that says you cant use additives that contain alcohol. I am looking for documentation that I can print out.

No, Cummins doesnt recommend using any fuel additives except one, and its a product sold by Cummins. Cummins policy is that if a engine comes in for warranty repairs, and a fuel or oil addaitive has been used in that engine, they will completely void the warranty on that engine. I have the Cummins service manual, and other documentation that states very clearly what their fuel additives do and do nots are. E-mail me at deviousintent24@yahoo.com and I will get those pages to you if you like. May take a day or two, but you will get them.
