Question by sob_131: Do oil companies actually want people to switch to fuel efficent or electric cars to save the environment?
given how they just keep on raising the cost of gas? If you ask me, I think they’re deliberately trying taunt and provoke everyone by giving them a hard and painful message that its time to start using up all that gas and start saving the earth since the world is already too damn over-populated.
So if EVERYONE were to switch to either hybrids, motorcyles, scooters, electric, and solar-powered cars, will they be happy or will be angry?
Personally, I think they SECRETLY want people to get rid of those gas-guzzling SUVs. The world’s too over-populated anyways and that’s why gas is running out.

they will be out of business very soon for what i know.business is like killing animals their meat is too good to be wasted since they found it but after a while u get bored u might want something new to kill so u say u have to save the other one if not u cant kill this one.all actions will link back to its intention of creation.

You certainly seem very concerned about overpopulation. You must still be in school. Only there do they teach such nonsense. Then you through in your ideal about ‘electric and solar powered cars, neither of which exist where some one can actually buy TODAY, so I would say you are a bit out of touch with reality.
Americana’s cars are some of the cleanest in the world. Your real polluters, china India most of Asia and south American really don’t have that many cars and so they don’t care.
So my suggestion for you would be to make sure YOU never have a child. Since that is your real concern.
Big oil and the US car makers have been in bed together forever.
It is interesting that US companies like GM are selling their most advanced cars not in the US but to CHINA FIRST!
You’re right, the US who used to be the world technology leader is now at the third world level when compared to even China for use and availability of technology.
The best thing to do is to not expect your government to have any answers, they are the problem….just unplug from the grid and get off of oil and the world would be a much better place for all.
Oil companies are not raising the prices of fuel. The market does that. The oil companies what to sell a product, oil. If it gets too high, they realize that will make alternatives more attractive and people will start to move away from it. Oil companies would like to keep the price just below the attractive alternative’s threshold, so that people will continue to buy their product, but they can’t.
